What is our mission?

To Protect the Breadwinners!

When I was a new rider, one of the first things I learned was to “Ride your ride”, and that, “You can’t put a price on safety!” That advice has saved me during my years of riding, and I stand here today as living proof, surviving, being run over without a scratch on my face by having on a helmet. During my travels to Nairobi, Kenya, while speaking with other riders, I discovered that motorcycles are for a means of living, not just recreation. When I asked to see a helmet, it was hollow, no protection; and  it was the quality of a child’s costume. This caused me to think of all the helmets that I owned, that my friends owned, and  what goes on clearance at the end of the year at numerous motorcycle shops. I would like to gather the excess here in our community and be the conduit to provide quality helmets to emerging economies.

Due to road conditions in Kenya motorcycles can be very adaptive for navigating unpaved roads and congestion. For this reason, the new motorcycles market is over 10 times bigger than the car market.

The market peculiarities are similar to other low-income markets: "...motorcycles are over 90% of the industry, with rare scooter or underbone models," according to McD - MotorCycles Data (https://www.motorcyclesdata.com/2022/10/28/kenya-motorcycles/). (hyperlink this joint)

This creates tremendous opportunities for small, local businesses to get involved. Our potential partners are individuals and very small businesses with limited resources can take advantage of the services of MC22.

There  are several businesses in Kenya involved with motorcycles with the majority of them being centered near Nairobi. In addition, there are potential affiliate partners outside the city, such as manufacturers, distributors, insurance companies, and others who would be able to service and sell to our clients.

Since MC22’s goal is to protect the breadwinners, the company plans to cover this target market with donated Helmets for Heads of Household (H3).
